Are you looking for a qualified teacher to provide engaging and fun lessons in a supportive way? A French and Italian graduate, I am also TEFL-trained. My years of teaching experience allow me to design personalised and well-sequenced lessons in which my learners make progress quickly. It is never too late to start learning a language! Classes

Classes are a mixture of in person and on Zoom.

Prices are £14 per 1 hour group lesson and are generally capped at 6 people.

1:1 Zoom sessions in French, Italian and German also available, if you prefer to learn on your own.

Italian

Mon: 7.30-8.30 pm: Lower Intermediate (in person).

Tues: 11.00-12.00 pm: Improvers (in person).

7.30-8.30 pm: Lower Intermediate (in person)

Weds: 11.00-12.00 pm: Intermediate (Zoom)

2.15-3.15 pm: Beginners+ (in person).

Thurs: 10.45- 11.45 am: Beginners (in person)

2.15-3.15 pm: Upper Intermediate (in person)

7.30-8.30 pm: Improvers (in person)

Fri: 9.30 -10.30 am: Intermediate (on Zoom).

French

German

Mon: 2.00-3.00 pm- Intermediate (on Zoom).

Although we haven't run a class yet, we are very much open to that idea, if there is demand. 1:1 is of course available too.

At ruthspencelanguages we also offer bespoke GCSE, A Level or IB tutoring in French, Italian and German available with tailored packages. All exam boards are catered for, as we have experience in the moderation of national exams. This means we can quickly support any student in a very personal approach to improving their language skills.

I recognise the potential in everyone in my classes.
I was inspired to live and work in France and Italy, travelling and holidaying regularly in both countries to keep up my passion!
My main aim has always been to make language learning an enjoyable, motivating experience, and to see learners grow in confidence.
I’m a patient, adaptable, and professional teacher ready to inspire you to make rapid progress in the language.

I originally started lessons in my home in north Bristol and I have taken great pride in creating a relaxed and supportive dynamic. OUR APPROACH

In our French and Italian groups the guide numbers are around six per class, so that each learner receives ongoing personalised input and feedback. We make French and Italian fun through a variety of engaging and scaffolded activities. There is a focus on building confidence in speaking, including a thorough grounding in key aspects of grammar.
